Memories of the Gulf War

This drawing depicts a memory or scene from Robert Blake Whitehill's second novel Nitro Express, in which the main character Ben Blackshaw, and his friend Grant, are fighting as soldiers during the Gulf War. Ben has fought in numerous wars as a Navy SEAL operative, and quit the military following this particular conflict because of what he experienced and did: he assassinated an Iraqi general before being shelled by mortars by the enemy.
