Malaklaw, Destroyer of La Palma, Spain (Guardians of Nature #3)

This artwork depicts Malaklaw, the Guardian of Crustaceans and early aquatic arthropods, destroying the island of La Palma, Spain, using his bubble cavitation cannon in his left pincer (inspired by the real-life abilities of the pistol shrimp, except exaggerated) which triggers a megatsunami that obliterates the US East Coast, Florida, parts of Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, and Morocco. Malaklaw's head resembles that of an Anomalocaris, an early arthropod and aquatic predator that thrived during the Cambrian period. His body resembles that of a massive hermit crab, and his oversized claw takes inspiration from shrimps. He first emerged in the Scotia Sea off the coast of Argentina, which is well known for its massive population of krill (the largest concentration in the world). From there, he made his way towards South Africa, and several coastal cities, ultimately aiming to reach the island of La Palma (which has long been hypothesized to be capable of causing a megatsunami should a volcanic eruption trigger a collapse of the islands rocky shelf into the ocean).
